On the 14th December 1997, 300 children, guests of the Foundation for the Child and the Family, travelled into the magic world of the fairy tale, the theatre and Christmas.
The fairy tale was written by Xenia Kalogeropoulou, and performed by her company on the children's stage of the Porta Theatre.
"Eliza" transported the children to the Elizabethan age, to 16th century England; they roamed the high seas with pirates, islands with exotic birds; they fought in the company of knights, met wealthy ladies with embroidered clothes and starched collars, lords with wigs and jewellery, ragamuffins; also dancers, partygoers and gourmands; they experienced at first hand the history of Elizabeth and her sea empire.
After the show, their was a surprise for them in the lobby of the theatre.
A Christmas Party and lots of presents from the President of the Foundation for the Child and the Family, Mrs Marianna Vardinoyannis.
