Παρουσίαση της έκδοσης των Πρακτικών του Ευρωπαϊκού Φόρουμ «Οικογένεια-Ευρώπη-21ος αιώνας, όραμα και θεσμοί»
Η παρουσίαση των Πρακτικών του Ευρωπαϊκού Φόρουμ «ΟΙΚΟΓΕΝΕΙΑ-ΕΥΡΩΠΗ-21ος ΑΙΩΝΑΣ : όραμα και θεσμοί», που είχε διοργανώσει το «Ίδρυμα για το Παιδί και την Οικογένεια», υπό την αιγίδα του Προέδρου της Δημοκρατίας, του Συμβουλίου της Ευρώπης, της UNESCO, και την υποστήριξη της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, τον περασμένο Μάιο του 1998 στην Αθήνα, πραγματοποιήθηκε στις 14/12/1998, στο Μέγαρο Μουσικής Αθηνών.
Το πολύτιμο υλικό γνώσεων, απόψεων και προτάσεων που κατέθεσαν επιστήμονες, ερευνητές, εκπρόσωποι κυβερνητικών και μη κυβερνητικών οργανώσεων από την Ευρώπη και παρατηρητές απ' όλο τον κόσμο, στη διάρκεια των εργασιών του Φόρουμ, παρουσίασε και σχολίασε ο καθηγητής. Νεοκλής Σαρρής, Πρόεδρος του Τμήματος Κοινωνιολογίας του Παντείου Πανεπιστημίου.
Η έκδοση αυτή, έργο και προσφορά του Εκδοτικού Οργανισμού Λιβάνη , στόχο έχει να αποτελέσει σημαντικό εργαλείο εργασίας και σημείο αναφοράς για όλους εκείνους, ειδικούς και μη, που οραματίζονται μια ανθρώπινη και αξιοπρεπή κοινωνία για την Οικογένεια του 21ου αιώνα.
Όπως τόνισε στην ομιλία της η Πρόεδρος του «Ιδρύματος για το Παιδί και την Οικογένεια», κυρία Μαριάννα Β. Βαρδινογιάννη, η έκδοση των Πρακτικών του Ευρωπαϊκού Φόρουμ, αποτελεί ένα πρώτο σταθμό στη προσπάθεια του Ιδρύματος να ευαισθητοποιήσει την κοινή γνώμη και να κινητοποιήσει τον ακαδημαϊκό κόσμο αλλά και την πολιτεία, γύρω από τα καυτά και ουσιώδη προβλήματα της οικογένειας: «Κανείς, υπογράμμισε η κυρία Βαρδινογιάννη δεν πρέπει να λησμονεί, ότι στυλοβάτης του παρόντος είναι η οικογένεια κι εγγυητής του μέλλοντος είναι μόνο το παιδί. Πιστεύουμε ότι το περιεχόμενο των Πρακτικών του Φόρουμ μπορεί και πρέπει να αποτελέσει σημείο αναφοράς και πολύτιμο οδηγό και για τον σχεδιασμό κάθε σχετικής πρωτοβουλίας κυβερνητικού ή μη οργανισμού, εδώ και αλλού, και γρήγορα άλλωστε θ ακολουθήσει και η ξενόγλωσση έκδοση που αναμένουν οι Ευρωπαίοι φίλοι μας. Όπως επίσης γρήγορα θα κυκλοφορήσουν και τα πρακτικά της Ημερίδας για τη σχέση των Μέσων Μαζικής Ενημέρωσης με την Οικογένεια».
Για τον καλαίσθητο τόμο της έκδοσης των Πρακτικών μίλησαν επίσης η εκδότρια , κυρία Γιώτα Λιβάνη και η επιμελήτρια της έκδοσης, κυρία Ινώ Κωνσταντοπούλου.
Στο πλαίσιο της παρουσίασης, ο καθηγητής του Συνταγματικού Δικαίου του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών και βουλευτής Επικρατείας, κύριος Προκόπης Παυλόπουλος, ανέλυσε το θεσμικό πλαίσιο της Οικογένειας στη χώρα μας, η καθηγήτρια του Αστικού Δικαίου του Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, κυρία Ισμήνη Ανδρουλιδάκη-Δημητριάδη ανέπτυξε τη νέα προβληματική για την Οικογένεια στο πλαίσιο του Οικογενειακού Δικαίου, και η πρύτανης Ελένη Γλύκατζη Αρβελέρ, Πρόεδρος του Πανεπιστημίου της Ευρώπης, αναφέρθηκε στις προοπτικές που σχετίζονται με το άμεσο μέλλον.
Τη συζήτηση συντόνισε η κυρία Ρόδη Κράτσα, Πρόεδρος του Ευρωπαϊκού Κέντρου Επικοινωνίας και Πληροφόρησης.
Την εκδήλωση παρακολούθησαν υπουργοί, αρχηγοί κομμάτων, βουλευτές, ευρωβουλευτές, ακαδημαϊκοί, καθηγητές πανεπιστημίου, πρόεδροι κι εκπρόσωποι κυβερνητικών και μη φορέων, πολλοί ομιλητές κι ερευνητές που είχαν πάρει μέρος στο Ευρωπαϊκό Φόρουμ, εκδότες, δημοσιογράφοι, κ. α.
